Programme 2022

  • Please note we will be following measures to limit Covid transmission to help everyone who attends feel safe – these measures are based on Hall requirements as well as guidance from the National Federation of WIs.
  • 🥶Thus there is plenty of ventilation and the Hall may be chilly in the winter months. Please wear clothing suitable for icy conditions  (we may even run a competition on who has the most layers) 🥶
  • The doors will open at 7.30pm with a start at 7.45pm – please do not arrive earlier as we need time to clean and air the hall between bookings.
  • Parking is available at St David’s and St Christopher’s Nursing Home, Priory Rd, Ascot SL5 8RS, a short walk away.  Please park just inside the main gate in the car park.  There is limited car parking at St Martin’s Hall so if you can use the alternative car park that would help with those who need to park close by

November 21st

  • Craft Night – Making Bird BnB’s
  • We will each have the opportunity to make our own Bird BnB – a place where our feathered friends can come for a snack and to collect some wool for nesting!  We will be guided by an expert. (Don’t worry – she often does this craft with 5 year olds, so no skills required! 😉
  • If you don’t wish to make a Bird BnB, please come along anyway for a chat and perhaps a game of Beetle
  • NOTE: Lambswool is used for the BnB’s, so if you are allergic to Lanolin please wear gloves.

  • Helen Francis from Smart Works Reading
  • Job interviews are difficult and a significant barrier to success. Without the necessary self-belief and practical tools, it is easy to become trapped in a cycle of failed interviews and unemployment. Smartworks is a UK charity that exists to give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and change the trajectory of their lives.
